Accessibility statement
Last updated:
This is a translation for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
REFERENT SOFTWARE SL wants everyone to be able to use its products, including with a screen reader, with the keyboard only, with zoom or with reduced motion. This statement applies to referentsoftware.com in Spanish and English.
Conformance status
Our target is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, which includes every level AA requirement of WCAG 2.1 set out in the European standard EN 301 549 (UNE-EN 301549:2022 in Spain). Today the website is partially conformant: it meets the requirements of that level except for the limitation described below.
What we have done
- All content is real HTML, with properly marked headings, landmarks and lists, and the language of each page declared.
- It can be fully navigated with the keyboard, with a skip-to-content link and the focus always visible. Neither the header nor the statistics notice covers the element that has focus.
- Text colours meet the AA minimum contrast (4.5:1, and 3:1 for graphical elements and field borders), including the home page sentence that lights up word by word.
- Buttons, links and checkboxes are at least 24 × 24 pixels or have enough space around them to be pressed without touching another one.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are indicated and errors explain how to fix them. When you send the form, the result is also announced to screen readers.
- The statistics notice does not block the page and it is the first thing you reach with the keyboard.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, all animations stop.
- Illustrations are decorative and the text next to them explains what matters.
Known limitations
- Marquee and animated logo (home page): the capabilities strip scrolls continuously and the 3D logo sways continuously, and neither has a button to pause it (success criterion 2.2.2, “Pause, Stop, Hide”). If your system asks for reduced motion, both stay still and the strip shows all the capabilities at once. What the marquee says is also explained elsewhere on the page.
The other issues we found in the review have been fixed.
How we evaluated the website
Self-assessment by REFERENT SOFTWARE SL on 18 October 2026, covering every page in Spanish and English (home page, legal notice, privacy, cookies, accessibility and the error page), on desktop and at a mobile width, in Chrome, Firefox and Safari:
- Automated tools: axe-core 4.10 and Lighthouse 12.
- Manual review: keyboard-only navigation and focus visibility, the skip-to-content link, the mobile menu, the statistics notice, the contact form and its error messages, colour contrast, target sizes, 200% zoom, content at 320 pixels wide, increased text spacing, reduced motion and the language of each page.
- Review of the browser’s accessibility tree, which is the information screen readers receive.
We have not yet tested it with screen readers; we will do so in the next review. We will review this statement at least once a year and whenever the website changes significantly.
Compatibility
The website is designed for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile. It is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript; the content can be read even if JavaScript does not load.
